Finding the Best Maui Activities

Wow, there is so much to do in Maui it is almost overwhelming.  That's one great reason to book or plan as many activities as possible before you go.   Maui has so much to offer that the options are almost unlimited.  However, there are some definate "musts" when in Maui.  Many of these "musts" are in our list of the Top 10 Things To Do on Maui.  Some of the many things to do on Maui are absolutely free.  Of course, this is Hawaii, so some of the activities are absolutely expensive.   But, if you can pick and choose up front where to spend your money, you'll be better off.

The "Must Do" Activities While on Maui

If you only have a day or two, this is your short list of what I consider the "Best of Maui"

  1. Horseback Ride into the Dormant Haleakala Crater

  2. Take a Day Trip to Hana

Each of these activities will require just about a complete day to fully appreciate.  Horseback riding into the dormant volcano is something you have never seen and probably can see few places on Earth.  Even for the inexperienced rider this long ride is really enjoyable.  The horses know the trails and the guides make the journey interesting.  If you do the road to Hana, remember that this trip is about the journey not the destination.  If you blaze past everything on the way to Hana, you will have missed one of the most spectacular drives in the United States.
